A dump truck is a large truck that has a dump box attached to the chassis, which can be elevated to dump the contents of the box. There are all sorts of dump trucks, including some that are the size of a small pickup all the way up to ones that large enough to carry 350 tons.
Some small trucks can be fitted with 3rd party dump boxes and hydraulics, that replaces the pickup bed or flatbed that the truck would usually have.
